Discoveries In The Dark
Discoveries In The Dark was a semi-regular feature in ESR’s first print run. This section represented a few things, but eventually focused on reviewing films which were notoriously unavailable on any legitimate home video format, and could only be acquired through, um, “collectors’ copies”. Since then, many of these titles have been officially released. But for historical purposes, we’ve grouped titles here that were reviewed under such circumstances, as an amusing look at the kinds of movies that back in the day we had to acquire “from one collector to another with no rights given or implied”.
