Eurofantasmo #1

The first issue of Eurofantasmo was published in December 2017, while I was still figuring out what to do with The Eclectic Screening Room, after that print run unceremoniously ended in 2012.

It was the intent that each issue of Eurofantasmo would explore one trend from the rich history of European genre cinema (whose heyday was from the late 1950s to the mid-1980s). The first issue debuted at a downtown screening I had planned for my birthday, which offered 8 whole pages of pulse-pounding reviews, in this case about the craze of Euro-superheroes and villains, which permeated through the 1960s and 70s.
