B Movies
One of the most misused terms in film writing, the “B” movie now colloquially refers to any cheaply made genre movie, whether its direct-to-video, whatever. This category cites the “B” movie in its classic definition, from the 1930s to the 1950s, when one could still see a double feature at the cinema. The “A” picture was the star attraction, but the “B” picture was the cheaply-made filler that was produced to fill out the running time. A lot of A-listers however paid their dues in the “B”s before moving on to bigger projects. Other actors and technicians stayed and had long careers in the B movie lots. There will be lots of fun and nostalgia added here in the future.
